A cohort of distinguished international educators recently visited the campuses of the Caldwell Early College High School and Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy as part of the prestigious Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA) administered by Appalachian State University and hosted by Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute (CCC&TI). Both high schools are located on the campus of CCC&TI.

Dr. Chrissie Faupel, Executive Director of App State’s Office of International Education and Development, expressed enthusiasm about the impact of this initiative, stating, "The Fulbright TEA participants deemed these site visits as the most transformative event of the program to date!"

Throughout their visit, the group -  consisting of 22 educators engaged with high school students, teachers, and administrators in a series of collaborative activities designed to promote cross-cultural learning and mutual enrichment. They also toured the campus of CCC&TI and participated in an informal Q & A session with college instructors.

Teachers represented various countries, including Bangladesh, Turkey, Venezuela, Egypt, Jordan, and Ukraine.  Jill Pippen, High School Director, said the Fulbright TEA program is a testament to the power of international collaboration in education. “It empowers educators to develop innovative teaching methodologies that prepare students for success in an interconnected world,” Pippen said.
