  • Heart of a Panther, Heart of a Spartan, Heart of a Warrior

    The Free Heart Health Screening for all student athletes is scheduled Saturday, May 12, 8 - 4 pm at the Caldwell Community College in the Faye Broyhill Building. To participate, complete the agreement form and return to school by Friday.

  • Register your 4-year old for Pre-K

    Applications are now being accepted for the North Carolina Pre-Kindergarten Program for the 2018-2019 school year. Applications can be found online, in every elementary school office, or the Preschool Office at the Freedman Center. For questions, call the preschool office at 828-726-3920.

  • Stone Reflects on his time in the Caldwell County Schools

    After 12 years of service in Caldwell County and 20 years as a superintendent in North Carolina, Caldwell County Superintendent of Schools Steve Stone retires on June 30, 2018. “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever made,” said Stone. “Knowing that the school district is in excellent shape eases this transition, but I will always be a champion for the Caldwell County Schools.”

  • School Board Names Next Superintendent

    The Caldwell County Board of Education unanimously selected Dr. Donald W. Phipps as the next superintendent of the Caldwell County Schools. Dr. Phipps will take office on July 1, 2018. “The Board has worked together well and acted as one,” said Board Chairman Darrell Pennell.

  • 2018 Hall of Honor Inductees Announced

    The Caldwell County Schools will present the 16th Annual Hall of Honor induction ceremony on Friday, April 27, 6:00 pm at the JE Broyhill Civic Center in celebration of Caldwell County graduates who have made significant personal and professional contributions to their community. The 2018 Hall of Honor inductees are Robert O. (Bob) Floyd, Jr., Gregory Paul Knight, and Cecil E. (Sonny) Viverette, Jr. Posthumous award will be presented to the family of Mary Hood Thompson.

    Caldwell County middle school students are engaged in learning more about technology and career choices, as they work side by side with Googlers during the Students@Work℠ event sponsored by Google in support of the North Carolina Business Committee for Education (NCBCE) and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
