Mr. Matt Ross is the new principal of William Lenoir Middle School.

Mr. Ross is a dedicated and passionate administrator who works to ensure students' success throughout the District. He tirelessly cultivates an environment where students can excel and grow inside and outside of the classroom. Staff describe him as an advocate, coach, motivator, and friend.

From encouraging staff and students to participate in charitable and service work to being a little silly to reward students for a job well done, Mr. Ross is known for developing strong, lasting relationships and inviting the community to play a positive role in a school’s culture and success. He encourages staff, students, and families to take pride in their school. He will ensure the Wildcat Way carries on.

Caldwell County Schools administration and the Caldwell County Board of Education are proud to have Mr. Matt Ross lead William Lenoir Middle School next fall. Caldwell County Board of Education approved Mr. Ross’ appointment to William Lenoir Middle School on Monday, June 9, 2025.
