  • Free Summer Meals for Kids

Children ages 0 to 18 are invited to eat free lunch meals at seven different locations this summer in Caldwell County.

USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed. Through USDA's summer meal programs, CCS Child Nutrition Department will serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost starting June 5 through August 18. There are seven meal sites at the following locations; Sawmills Municipal Park, Redwood Park, Yokefellow, Mulberry Recreation Center, Katz Corner Apartments, Poplar Street Apartments and Martin Luther King Jr. Center.
