    Innovative learning projects are being funded thanks to $5,859 in Bright Ideas grants awarded recently by Blue Ridge Energy. Bright Ideas is an academic grants program sponsored annually by Blue Ridge Energy to further traditional academic learning in the classroom.

  • Teachers Awarded Grant Funding for Educational Projects

    Eight Caldwell County teachers are recipients of grant funding for innovative and educational projects totaling approximately $6,900. The Community Education grants are awarded by the Education Foundation Inc. of Caldwell County twice a year in the fall and spring.

  • Early College Teacher Named Regional Science Teacher

    Ashely Mayo, science teacher at the Caldwell Early College High School is the recipient of the District 7 Outstanding High School Science Teacher Award presented by the North Carolina Science Teachers Association. The award was given at the NCSTA 51st Annual Awards Ceremony held virtually on Thursday, Nov. 5.

    Food and Nutrition 1 students across Caldwell County will receive bags of local food thanks to a Farm to School grant awarded by the Center for Environmental Farming to Caldwell County Schools Career and Technical Education department.

  • Curbside Meals Relocate to High Schools

    The CCS Child Nutrition Department weekly curbside meal distribution for children ages 0 to 18 will move from elementary school locations to Hibriten High, South Caldwell High School and West Caldwell High School starting on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2020. The distribution times remain the same from 11-1 pm and 4-6 pm.
