  • Grover and Alma Triplett Teacherage

    The Education Foundation Inc. of Caldwell County invites new college graduates who have signed a contract to teach for CCS to complete an application for consideration to join the Education Foundation family and the privilege of living in the Grover and Alma Triplett Teacherage. 
    Applications and rental requirements are on the Education Foundation Inc. website under programs. Click here to apply. Interviews will be held the 2nd week of August with an occupancy date of August 27.

  • Hall of Honor - Accepting nominations thru July 30th

    The Caldwell County Schools is now accepting nominations for the 18th Annual Hall of Honor induction ceremony on Monday, October 18, at 6:00 pm at the JE Broyhill Civic Center. The event will recognize both the inductees in 2020 and 2021 due to the postponement of the ceremony last year caused by the global pandemic. For a nomination form, click here.     CCS Curbside Meals for children 18 years and younger on Wednesdays from 11-1 pm and 3:30-5:30 pm at Hibriten, South Caldwell, and West Caldwell will continue all summer long!

  • Starting the School Year Masks are Optional

    After Governor Roy Cooper’s recent announcement that relaxed the state’s mandate requiring students and staff to wear face coverings at school, the Board of Education met today in a called meeting to discuss appropriate safety and health protocols for the upcoming school year. The School Board unanimously voted that face masks would be optional for students and staff in the 2021-2022 school year.

  • Rising Stars Shine in the Classroom

    For some 270 children starting kindergarten in the fall, they are Rising Stars for the next four weeks. These newly enrolled students are participating in the Rising Stars program, a nurturing and welcoming experience designed to prepare young children for a successful start into kindergarten.

    The School Board approved four new administrators to fill assistant principal positions. Congratulations to the newest APs: Amy Brawley, West Caldwell High School; Celine Ellison, William Lenoir Middle; Matthew Ross, Hudson Elementary; and Braley Speagle, South Caldwell High School!

    Career and Technical Education (CTE) is expanding the culinary arts program by introducing the marketing and management of a food truck - the CTeatery Fresh & Fast – which becomes available to the public as early as the first week in September.

  • 3rd Annual Classroom Innovation and Technology Showcase

    At the 3rd Annual Classroom Innovation and Technology Showcase held this week nearly 150 faculty, staff, administrators, and community members participated in the three-day virtual event that provided 80 sessions of online technology instruction, ranging from digital literacy to virtual learning environments to technology tools and resources in the workplace.
